Boredom

Sheer boredom prompted this post. I should be working - I have 55 minutes of the work day left. I just cannot motivate myself to want to do anything work related. What's wrong with me? Maybe it's that I haven't had a real vacation in a long time. I didn't take a vacation at all last year (okay, I was off work, but I was MOVING, not like I was doing anything FUN) and most of my vacations in years past have been to go visit family. I'd just like to go somewhere fun with my husband and do nothing. Doesn't that sound nice?

Anyway, I guess I could give an update of our lives. Nothing too majorly exciting (else why would I be bored?), but there's some stuff. Let's see, we've been going to weekly basketball games of either Hannah or Connor - they generally play an hour apart, so we've been trading each weekend. It's fun to see the little girls play - it's more like social time than actual playing. Connor's team is quite good & plays actual basketball. :-)

Nick's in his final week of this quarter at school. He gets just barely a week off before he has to start the spring quarter. He's doing really well & I'm quite proud of him - we all are. Next quarter he'll be attending school Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. That means he gets to be home for Dancing with the Stars (premiers March 17th! WOOHOO), but has to miss Grey's Anatomy. Dang. He also starts his new work schedule on Monday - thankfully he still gets the M-F shift, but he'll be working 6:00am to 2:30. While that's an early shift, I think it'll be good for him to have some extra time before school. Give him some down time to play video games, finish up any last minute homework, do stuff around the house, etc.

As for me, it's pretty much same-ol' same-ol'. I really do nothing. It's quite sad. I do go to the gym with some girls from work, which is better than nothing. I've been taking some yoga classes that I was really enjoying. I'm not sure what all happened, but we stopped going to those and should start again. :-) What else...I've read quite a bit of books. Read Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet - a book I didn't think I would like, but it was a book club pick. I ended up really liking it and am going to read part 2. My sister in law recommends it. :-)

OH, here's something I'm doing that I'm pretty proud of. I met a new friend on myspace, her name is Susan and she's from Ohio. She introduced me to this web site - www.anysoldier.com - where you can request soldier's addresses who have been deployed to fight in Operation Iraqi Freedom. I've sent out almost 20 letters so far. I haven't received a response (yet), but I feel good knowing that I've probably brightened some one's day with a letter of encouragement from home.

Well, I've managed to waste nearly 11 minutes of work. Oh my. I suppose I should get back to it - how thrilled do I sound?

Hope life is well for the rest of you! I haven't seen any of you start your own blogs...do you need help? ha ha.

Luv ya all,
Sarah

Sarah V 1.27

Today marks the birthday of Sarah. Here's her horoscope for today...

Aquarius (Jan 23 - Feb 22) You have an inventive mind and are inclined to be progressive. You lie a great deal. You make the same mistakes repeatedly because you are stupid. Everyone thinks you are a jerk... (in bed)

Here's to the girl we've come to know and love (some of us, anyway)
On your day of days we present this gift, that will bring a smile to your face for eternity.

Happy Birthday, Brother!

Born this day many moons ago, Jamison Chochrek has had many experiences others have not. He's lived in foreign locales, is a veteran of this nations Armed Forces. At the tender age of 18 he was undefeated member of his high school wrestling team and was a formidable opponent on the football gridiron. He now has a lovely home, a beautiful wife and 3 stunning children, 2 cool dogs, not to mention a rockin' sister...the man who seems to have it all. Through it all, just one accolade eluded him...that is, until January 25th, an opportunity at the Idaho Business & Technology Expo where Mr. Chochrek was representing his company, Sun Microsystems. At last, his fame has been forever cemented in internet history - a 1:18 clip on YouTube. Quite frankly, sir, you have arrived.

Happy Birthday Jamie!! We hope you're having an awesome day! :-)

Hi ho! Hi Ho! Off to court we go! (or rather, went)

Well, we're back from court. We think it went pretty well. We didn't get back all of the earnest money we put down, but we agreed to meet half way. We learned some pretty interesting things that our realtor did/said that we didn't know about, and she seemed really surprised by some of our "testimony" as well.

Mostly, we're just glad it's over and we get to have some of our money back. Now we're off to be productive with the rest of our day - getting Idaho drivers licenses, getting contacts, etc. Busy, busy Beesleys!
